This book is a really easy read and has specific chapters dealing with different ages from birth to seven. It’s a good first step into the world of neuroscience and young learners. What’s really useful about this book is that it looks at topics which you would be focusing on in an early years setting – communication, sleep and the brain, schemas, learning to read and write etc. Each chapter has a really useful section ‘messages for educators’.
If you found this book useful but would like to know more, a great next step and a more challenging read would be Early Childhood and Neuroscience by Mine Conkbayir.
