Having worked in education for the last 25 years, Rachel has extensive knowledge and experience and knowledge in primary and higher education. Her research and expertise covers a number of areas including teaching and learning pedagogies, special educational needs and inclusive education, initial teacher education with QTS and leadership and management.

She was awarded a National Teaching Fellowship by Advance HE for her work in student engagement and has been recognised by The Times Higher and the British Educational Research Education (BERA) for her work in inclusive education and developing academic literacy with students.

For the last 18 months Rachel has been working in an international school setting leading and managing a department for additional learning needs as well as writing and delivering training workshops for teaching linked to inclusive teaching and learning strategies.
